Official classification

The only four-star in town

Beauvais has exactly one four-star address, and it is in the town centre rather than by the airport. The Mercure Centre Cathédrale occupies a former convent building overlooking the canal, and it carries the highest rating in this guide.

The selection

One address only, and not at the airport

Beauvais has no four-star on the terminal side, and it is worth knowing that before you start looking. The single address at this level is in the town centre, in a former convent building overlooking the canal, about five kilometres from the airport. It also holds the best rating in this guide.

Four stars requires extended bilingual reception, room service, public reception areas and rooms of at least 16 m². In practice here that translates into suites with a lounge, a cocktail bar, a terrace over the canal and conference rooms, which makes it the reference address for a business trip or a reception.

Who it suits, and who it does not

For an early flight it is not the rational choice: the first Navette Express leaves the centre at 4.15am, and a night taxi comes to €21. For a business night, a longer stopover or a sightseeing stay at the foot of Saint-Pierre cathedral, it is the most accomplished address in town. The other town-centre options sit a notch below, and our groups and conferences page details meeting-room capacity.
